G Bond Wet Weather Adhesive

G Bond Wet Weather Adhesive is a high-performance, high-strength, two-component polyurethane-based adhesive system designed for bonding artificial grass surfaces to a wide range of substrates, including concrete, asphalt, and other solid bases. It is specially formulated for use in wet and cold conditions and produces a strong, durable, and virtually invisible joint along carpet seams. This adhesive delivers excellent waterproof bonding and long-lasting performance, even in high-traffic areas.

Color:

The adhesive consists of two components: Part A (beige) and Part B (green). When mixed together, the adhesive forms a green colour that blends seamlessly with artificial grass.

Formation:

It is manufactured using a high-quality two-component polyurethane system. The product is free from carcinogens and does not contain hazardous solvents or isocyanates. It offers very high tensile strength while maintaining safe handling characteristics. It contains N-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)ethylenediamine, which may cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.

When to Use It:

G Bond Wet Weather Adhesive is ideal for use in wet, damp, and cold weather conditions. It performs best within an application temperature range of 10°C to 30°C. For low-temperature installations, the use of a rapid-setting accelerator is recommended to speed up curing. One or two bottles of accelerator can be added and mixed with the hardener additive as required.

Where to Use It:

This adhesive is best suited for large-scale artificial grass installations and areas where turf needs to be bonded to hard surfaces such as concrete bases, sports fields, parks, playgrounds, and other heavy-traffic environments. Its high bond strength allows it to withstand significant wear and tear.

How to Use It:

Ensure all surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from dust, dirt, or other contaminants. In wet or damp conditions, remove as much surface water as possible by brushing or shaking the grass.
Using a Turfgrip hand glue box or a notched trowel (6mm bead recommended), spread the adhesive evenly across the seaming tape or bonding surface. Apply firm pressure throughout the curing period to achieve maximum bond strength. Wear protective gloves and avoid skin contact. Protect the installation from rain, water exposure, and freezing conditions for at least 12 hours after installation.

Open / Cure Time:

The adhesive has an open time of approximately 45 minutes at 20°C, with skin formation occurring after around 40 minutes. It achieves approximately 85% cure strength within 6 hours and reaches full chemical cure after 48 hours at 20°C. Cure times may vary depending on temperature and environmental conditions.

Storage:

The product can be stored for up to 12 months in unopened containers when kept in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
